Getting your feet summer ready is as easy as adding a few extra minutes to your self-care routine. I hate having other people touch my feet so going out for a pedicure is a form of punishment for me. That doesn’t mean I don’t want my feet to be in their best shape for all the summer sandals I plan to wear.

How to Get Your Feet Summer Ready in the Comfort of Your Home

I have had so many friends recommend the Amopé Pedi Perfect Foot File with Diamond Crystals to take care of thick, hard skin effortlessly. You can also buy extra roller heads and this baby is battery operated making your life hella easier.

For an easy (and kind of weird) way to get rid of dead skin, you need to try the Baby Foot Easy Pack Original Deep Skin Exfoliation for Feet. You leave these on your feet for an hour and over the course of a couple of weeks, your dead skin literally peels away. If you don’t mind the weirdness and have nowhere to show your toesies for a few weeks this is a great option.

You can go a whole lot fancier than this Conair Foot / Pedicure Spa with Vibration but the price is right. If you want to lounge on your couch while you watch Netflix and soak your feet than this baby will be your partner in crime. I sometimes struggle with sitting down to watch tv if I am not multitasking so this is great.

Guilty pleasure alert. I have this MAGNUM Callus Shaver and it is my favourite part of my at home pedicure routine. So simple to get the tough skin and it is so satisfying seeing all the strips of dead skin come off. I use this as a first step and all the other items to maintain. Plus this is under $12 and you can but 100 refill blades for under $15.

This Manicure and Pedicure Tools Set is stainless steel and easily sterilized which I love. Also when you buy medical grade stainless steel it tends to last longer and doesn’t rust out. Also, it’s under $15 and comes in a case to keep them all together.

This Dermal Therapy Heel Care cream is AMAZING. There is no great smell, gimmicks or false promises. It gets to work right away and is non-greasy which is great especially when you are wearing shoes like sandals.

Now that you’ve gone through all that trouble don’t put those toes away into some covered up shoes. Show off them toes with THIS Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. It is the best nail polish I have ever used, lives through doing gardening and the dishes multiple times a day. It’s the bee’s knees, for real.

Now that your feet are ready for the beach why don’t you check out these 5 pairs of summer sandals that won’t break the bank?

Those callus shavers always scare me just a little – Im not sure I could use one on my own foot! Great line up of products 🙂

You totally could. The trick is to do a little each time you are in the shower so you don’t take off too much!

The MAGNUM Callus Shaver sounds like a great product, were you nervous using it?

The first time it was a bit crazy because I had SO much dead skin to take off (5 years ? worth) but now I spot treat with on or two swipes per section. It shaves very thin pieces so it’s common sense and you can see the difference instantly which I love

I do Aquafit 2 or 3 times a week and it’s hard to keep my feet nice and smooth. I do have the Amope. I think what I’m missing is the Dermal Therapy Heel Care cream

All great items to get your feet ready for summer, but I have to be careful when using a lot of the products because being diabetic I have to be careful with my feet

Good tips, but the razors are a big no from professionals; they cause your skin to grow rougher and harder.

thanks for the tips, i would like to try them

I would love to end my day with a foot bath followed by the application of a thick moisturizer to my feet. A pair of soft, cozy socks and my pampering is complete.

Wow! The callus shaver scares the pants off me but I have such crazy thick skin on my heels – is it only for callouses? Have you ever gone too far?

I have terrible feet and problems with cracking, dryness and have used everything. Next time I’m out shopping I am going to look for the Bayer Dermal therapy heal care foot cream. Not sure if it is here in Canada but going to inquire…. I would like to try it. This has been great info for me to use…. I use a foot bath of Epsom Salts and then a pumice stone to get rid of dead skin but have to do it often.

I definitely want to try the magnum callus shaver . Work boots take a toll on my feet . A little nervous to try it though . I also love sally Hanson nail polish . It’s the only kind that I use .

I too have trouble with a shaver for my heels – I did in fact once slice so well that I bled and walking became painful for a while. Still it’s painful when my heels crack too so I tend to avoid the shaver and settle for a pumice stone and using creams. Add to that the fact that my feet are more difficult to reach these days and contorting my body much more difficult. I do have one of those battery pumice rollers, seems my arms are a bit too short for comfort when using that too.
