We have had some serious weather this year so I am sharing some snow day activities for adults today. Let me know what you do on snow days in the comments below.

  1. Colour. I suggest this colouring book and markers.
  2. Bake cookies. These sugar cookies are a tried and true recipes.
  3. Shovel the driveway and sidewalks.
  4. Shovel your neighbour’s driveway and sidewalk.
  5. Go tobogganing. I went tobogganing last month for the first time in 15 years and it was exhilarating. Try it out and live a little.
  6. Read a book. You can get an instant download of most books through the Kindle APP on most devices. I still recommend You Are A Badass.
  7. Write a letter to someone just because. My friend Julie of Try Small Things still sends snail mail and I keep each and every letter and small gift. Be like Julie
  8. Binge a new show. I have binged Schitt’s Creek, Blacklist, New Amsterdam, the Good Doctor, and The Resident this year and all are highly recommended.
  9. Watch a documentary. Here’s some to consider.
  10. Try out a new recipe. Dill Pickle Wings is one of my faves.
  11. Take a nap. I’ll wait for you to come back. Go on.
  12. Give yourself a pedicure. I put together everything you need for cute toes in this post.
  13. Make a vision board to help manifest your goals. Here are some examples.
  14. Listen to a new book. I really enjoy Audible for this and will start Becoming by Michelle Obama today. New members get a free audio book.
  15. Call a friend who you have been meaning to catch up with.
  16. Create a bucket list. Put all the places you want to visit, things you want to do, and experiences you want to have together and start working on it right away. You only have this lifetime to complete it. Find some ideas here.
  17. Sign up for a program like Ancestry.com and start on your family tree.
  18. Organize the junk drawer. We all have one of these and most likely yours could use some organizing. I love these expandable organizers to keep things clean.
  19. Declutter your closet. If it doesn’t fit, has stains or holes, or hasn’t been worn in the past year, GET RID OF IT.
  20. Create a meal plan. Did you know creating a meal plan not only saves you time but also money? Also, check out this post on how to save money on groceries.
  21. Clean out the freezer. You can just leave the items outside if it is cold enough outside.
  22. Do your nails. Pick a nice summery shade to perk up your mood.
  23. Go through your digital photos and order some to get printed. You can order through the Fujifilm Print Life site and pick up at your local Costco, Shoppers, Loblaws, Henry’s, Walmart, Pharmaprix, Fujifilm or Annex Photo.
  24. Organize your paperwork. Love this portable file storage from Amazon.
  25. Work Out. Lots of free options online. Check out this post for more info.

I’m not sure why I live in such a cold part of Canada, I’m a woman who loves the sun and heat so on snowy days I like to be inside looking out, lol

Some great suggestions here. We went tobaganning the other day. So much fun! I was home with sick kids the other day and while they were sleeping, I went through some of my pics and picked out some to print… now to just get them printed!

I get very little time to myself, so reading a book or going to see a movie are my favourite snow day activities. Great list!

This is a great list but I think “take a nap” would be #1 on the list, especially for parents!

With the storm coming, I look forward to taking a long nap during the snow day on Friday! I can’t remember the last time I didn’t work on a snow day.
