The Dreo Macro Max S Smart Air Purifier offers an array of features that make it highly effective in purifying the air of dust, smoke, and pollen. Its 3-stage filtration system captures 99.985% of airborne particles down to 0.3 m, while SGS certification confirms its ability to filter certain bacteria. Additionally, the purifier is designed to provide protection against allergens, pet dander, pollen, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We have our unit placed by the back door and beside where all the dogs sleep.

Is It Easy to See if the Air is Dirty?

We have our air purifier on automatic mode and it just switches up when we need it to. If I am cleaning the room and using heavy cleaning materials I see the air purifier switch into action and the colours tell me just how dirty the air is.

Blue – Excellent air quality
Green – Good air quality
Orange – Moderate air quality
Red – Poor air quality

What Information Does the Unit Display?

The unit has controls at the top and a display that is visible from the front. You will see how clean your air is, the air quality, plus your filter life remaining. You’ll also be able to see whether child lock is engaged, what settings you’re running currently, as well as if you’re connected to wifi.

What Does the Dreo App Let Me Do?

The app is so great for having on-the-go information at the tip of your fingers. I can check what the air quality is not just for the past 24 hours but the last 30 days. When we first got our unit we had some moderate and poor days but with steady use, we’ve been able to maintain excellent air quality.

I also really like that I can see how much filter life I have left in my unit. Once we get low enough I can purchase a new filter right in the app as well as reset the settings. 

I can also turn my unit on and off with full control right in the app. That means I can turn the unit on when I am on the way home so I can have clean air on arrival. 

Is the Dreo Macro Max S Compatible with Smart Home Devices?

Through the app, I easily connected our air purifier to Amazon Alexa and Google Home. It took under a minute to do and I love that I can easily call one of our smart assistants to turn on the air purifier if I burnt a pizza in the kitchen and the house is quickly filling with my charred dinner’s smoking remains.

How Big of a Room Will the Dreo Macro Max S Smart Air Purifier Clean?

The TurboPure X has been optimized for larger rooms as it provides up to a 50% higher performance, with an impressive 4.8 air exchanges per hour in a 423 sq ft space. It is even capable of purifying rooms up to 2030 sq ft in a single hour. We have ours set up in our dining room and it keeps the whole main floor clean.

Will it Cost a lot of Money to Run an Air Purifier?

Dreo’s home air purifier keeps your air clean for less than $4 a month. That’s about the average cost of a coffee nowadays and works out to be pennies a day. All in all, I’m glad we took the plunge and decided to take care of our air.

How is the Dreo Filter?

After putting our new Dreo Macro Max S Smart Air Purifier to good and constant work I am shocked at the difference we notice. We have it on automatic so it’s usually very minimal noise but I do see it kick into action when I am cooking food or cleaning up. Sweeping dust into the air kicks it into high alert and I love that it’s cleaning the air so I don’t have to keep dusting.

Honestly, I am also a little embarrassed by the amount of dust that has accumulated on the sides of the machine where the intake is. But I am not surprised. It’s in a high-traffic area where we also have a litter of puppies and I am glad for the extra help the Dreo Macro Max S Smart Air Purifier is giving me.
