One of the things that we love most about German wood decor is the attention to detail that is put into every piece. Whether it’s a detailed carved ornament or a stunning handcrafted piece, each wood decoration is unique and special.

One of our favourite Christmas decorations is the German Nutcracker in hussar red. The beloved German nutcracker is world-renowned and is a cherished symbol of the Christmas season. It’s a unique piece that has become one of the most sought-after Christmas decorations of the Erzgebirge region. Many people collect nutcrackers to add a special touch of warmth to their holiday decor, and they can be passed down through the generations. 1-Tier Pyramid - Winter Children (28 cm/11in) by Zeidler Holzkunst

I really like the German Christmas Pyramid named “children in winter”. They are so unique in the way that they work. The candles surrounding the pyramid are lit and the heat from the candles makes the pyramid spin. It’s a beautiful decor piece. You can check out more Christmas pyramids here.

This German candle arch named Carolers small village is a great centrepiece for a mantle or console table. For over 250 years, the candle arch of Erzgebirge has been a beautiful festival of lights to represent Christmas time. Johann Teller first created the original wrought-iron candle arch in 1726 then it was handcrafted out of wood. Its form can be traced back to the ancient Erzgebirge mining tradition, when miners hung their lamps around the mine entrance as the last shift before Christmas, forming an arch of lights.

I think the German incense smoker forest dwarves are over the moon adorable. I mean look at that face and imagine him on your table smoking away while incense fills the air.
