Best Kitchen Organization Hacks and Gadgets

I think the best piece of advice I can give you in terms of keeping an organized kitchen is ensuring everything has a place. That way you can easily see if something is not where it’s supposed to be or if you need to purchase more. If you live with a bunch of people you may want to label your shelves with what you want in each place. Hopefully, that will also stop you from buying a bottle of ketchup every week at the grocery store because you can’t find the one tucked behind your cereal.

Start with your fridge. Take everything out and get rid of anything that is past its expiry date. Also, get rid of any doubles and combine those items if you can. Give your fridge a good cleaning and wipe the bottles, jars, and anything else that may be sticky. This clear container bundle is very reasonably priced and will let you keep like-items together as well as see exactly what you have. You can use these in the fridge and freezer and they can stack to be stored when not in use. They also clean up like a dream with warm soapy water and the included shelf liners will make future clean-ups a breeze.

Something else I discovered is the Bluapple freshness extender apples. You simply drop them in your fridge around your produce and they absorb Ethylene gas so your food stays fresh longer.

You are going to want to take everything out of your cupboards and pantry too. Get rid of anything that is expired and maybe get a donation box going of items you will not get to eat before they go bad. It may not be something your family likes but another family may love it. Wipe down your shelves and put items back in. If you have multiples of each item put the item that expires first at the front. I also like this can holder for easy access if you buy multiple of certain things.

I also use clear containers in my cupboards and pantry so I can see what I have. I like to keep them organized in terms of use. I have one specifically for baking that has things like baking powder, baking soda, and flour amongst other things so I can easily just pull it out when I need it. I also have some of our dry goods in glass and plastic containers. I like this set of airtight food containers and as a plus, they come with labels and are BPA-free.

I would also add in some of these cereal containers so that you can easily see what you have. Plus it stops the cereal from getting stale after the bag is opened.

Add lazy susans to your space! Lazy susans are like trays that spin that can easily be added to your fridge or cupboards. They are another easy way to quickly have access to everything without having to take everything out.

Another thing I discovered this past year is a mini handheld bag sealer that will pay for itself so quickly (it’s only around $20). It allows you to quickly reseal your chip bags, crackers, or any other item that you store to prevent them from going stale and bad. Plus it will stop your goods from spilling all over the place;)

Refresh that spice cabinet. My spice cabinet was out of control because I love buying new seasonings. I used to buy things in those bags and I could never find what I needed.

I really like this kit that includes jars, labels, a funnel and shaker tops to make this simple but I also love how simple these preprinted labels are so it’s a personal preference.

You can also choose to display your spices using this two-tier shelf or this tiered shelf. You can even get one of these drawer organizers for spices if that’s where you store yours.

This roll-up dish drying rack can hold up to 80 lbs of weight and be easily rolled up when not in use making your counters clutter-free.

Every home can benefit from these metal wire baskets that can be used with wheels and without and also come with a cover. I love how versatile this set is and it can easily be used in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or home office.

Who has an oven full of bakeware that needs to be removed each and every time that you need to use the oven? I’m over her frantically waving my arms and so glad I just found this bakeware tray that will easily store all those muffin pans and cutting boards.

The more organized my home gets the more I can stop worrying about keeping it tidy and focus on other things that make me happy like reading, having dance parties and running on the treadmill while watching really crappy TV. I hope you found the best kitchen organization hacks and gadgets post useful.

Do you have any kitchen organization hacks that will help simplify our lives?

These are brilliant, and I want each and every one of these! I’ve stared using cereal containers, but unfortunately bought some cheep one that I really don’t like the look of so they will need to be replaced at some point. I really love the soup can holder as my son loves his soup (and it’s the best way to make sure he’s getting in vegetables) ill have to put that on my Amazon wishlist!
