Spoiler alert: we will crush it in the self-love, daily affirmations, and humour department this year. It’s the way to make this year fucking sparkle.

25 New Year’s Resolutions to Make 2025 Your Best Year Yet

Claim 2025 as Your “Why Not?” Year
We’re going to collectively stop waiting for the perfect moment to act on our ideas. 2025 is screaming for us to take the risk and ask “Why not?” more. So start the podcast, sign up for the course to help take your career to the next stage, or start working out and meal planning. All you have to do is start.

Affirmation: I am fearless, fabulous, and deserve all the good vibes coming my way

FOMO is a Vibe Killer
I used to be so guilty of feeling like I had to be everywhere to feel successful or happy. It wasn’t until I started saying no to plans and people that were energy suckers that I had more space to say yes to what lit me up. Here is to keeping our calendar like a VIP list, not a to-do list!

Affirmation: I prioritize my peace and protect my precious energy.

Make the Unfollow Button Your Best Friend
Repeat after me: If I see someone post something online that does not align with my values, makes me feel like I am not enough, or is just always negative, it’s time to unfollow them. A digital cleanse is the perfect way to reign in your social media and once again make it a space where you can be uplifted and inspired.

Affirmation: I choose positivity, letting go of what no longer serves me.

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone and Do Something that Scares Your
Nobody is asking you to jump out of a plane (unless you want to) but I am asking you to try things that are currently outside your comfort zone. Maybe this year you will try public speaking because it’s what’s been holding you back from reaching the next level. Maybe you will try out food from different ethnicities this year to expand your palate. Maybe you finally signed up for that dance class you’ve always wanted to take. You’ll be amazed at how much growth comes from a little discomfort.

Affirmation: I am brave, capable, and ready to embrace new experiences.

Find Your “Signature Drink”
It’s 2025, darling. With a rise in people saying no to alcohol there is a lot of room to find a fancy drink that screams, “Yes, I’ve got my life together, but also, I don’t take myself too seriously!” Whether it’s a matcha latte or sparkling water with lime and a fancy straw, make it your thing.

Affirmation: I control my choices, and my signature drink reflects my fabulousness.

Transform Your Bedroom into a Sanctuary
It’s time. Time to up the thread count, invest in a good duvet, and get pillows that will leave you so refreshed the next morning you’ll wake up before the alarm. Recharge with soft lighting, delicious scents, and a 5-star ambiance that rivals your favourite escape.

Affirmation: I deserve comfort and tranquility, and my space reflects that.

Get Cozy with Self-Care
I like a good face mask and bubble bath as much as the next gal but our biggest source of self-care this year will be about setting boundaries, saying guilt-free no’s, and doing things that feed our soul. Block off a weekend just for you—no explanations required!

Affirmation: I am worthy of rest and rejuvenation. My needs matter.

Master the “I Am Not Available” Game
We can be unavailable for other people’s nonsense. Not today, toxic vibes. Not today, unneeded stress. The more space we free up from negative shit the more space you have to fill with things like new hobbies, side hustles, or a Netflix binge without interruptions.

Affirmation: My time is precious, and I won’t waste it on non-alignment.

Stop Apologizing for Existing
There is immense power that comes to you when you accept yourself in your truest form and are no longer shy about sharing that version of yourself with others. You don’t owe anyone an apology for taking up space, devouring the last donut, or having bold opinions. You will never be too much for the right person. Own it, darling.

Affirmation: I am enough just as I am, and I refuse to apologize for being fabulous.

Start Your Day Like the Queen You Are
It’s time to set a morning routine that will throw chaos out the window and allow you to rule the day. Why let your mornings be chaotic when you can rule them? Whether it’s a workout, your gratitude journal, or a 20-step skincare routine that will turn back time, do it. You’ll feel like royalty, even pre-coffee.

Affirmation: I start my day with confidence, grace, and a sprinkle of magic.

Get Fit, But Make It Fun
Figure out a way to get fit this year that doesn’t also feel like you’re selling your soul for a smaller pant size. If the gym isn’t your jam there are dance classes or kickboxing. Maybe you see those trampoline workout classes on line and secretly wish you could do that. Whatever gets you moving and giggling is a win!

Affirmation: I honor my body with joyful movement that fills me with strength.

Make Travel a Priority
No matter what our income level we should all strive to have at least one . It can be a weekend escape or an international trip, but you deserve to see the world. Start squirrelling away some money each paycheck towards a trip. The world is calling.

Affirmation: The world is my playground, and adventure is part of my journey.

Create a Heart-Racing Vision Board
Vision boards used to take a crapload of old magazines, glue sticks, scissors and poster board but nowadays we can easily create a stunning piece-de-resistance using programs like Canva right on our devices. So save those inspiring images and affirmations into a vision board that fuels your wildest dreams. It’s a fun way to visualize your goals and remind you that greatness is on the horizon.

Affirmation: I actively manifest my dreams and live my purpose.

Keep Your Inner Circle Tight
You are the average of the five people you hang with the most, so choose wisely! Surround yourself with positive, uplifting people who push you to be the best version of yourself. Learn the difference between friends, colleagues, and aquaintances and treat each accordingly.

Affirmation: I am surrounded by encouraging, loving women who uplift my journey.

Laugh More
Laughing is the ultimate stress-buster. Find the friends that leave your sides aching from laughing so much. Watch shows that make you laugh so hard you cry. Put yourself in situations where even if thing’s are difficult you’ll laugh your way though it.

Affirmation: I am resilient, and I choose joy even in tough times.

Embrace Your Inner Goddess
This is the year you stop doubting yourself and accept that you are divine, powerful, and a goddess among mere mortals! Start to dress the part, act the part, and most importantly—believe it. The universe is ready to treat you like royalty.

Affirmation: I radiate divine energy, and the world responds to my brilliance.

Unleash Your Creativity
I know by the time we reach adulthood we’ve been told we’re either creative of we’re not. I strongly believe that those of us who believe we’re not creative haven’t found what drives us…yet. My city has very inexpensive classes for things like knitting, writing, and learning an instrument. I am sure yours does as well. Maybe you can check out a Youtube tutorial on how to crochet a scarf like my niece did and end up making everyone you know something homemade for the holidays. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to de-stress and brighten your mood.

Affirmation: My creative energy flows freely, and I take pride in my creations.

Invest in Your Mindset
Be a lifelong learner. The most important high-tech gadget you own is your brain. Read books that challenge you, tune into inspiring podcasts, and invest in your growth. I am striving to put my Audible subscription to good use this year and listen to one growth book each month to make myself better while I do the dishes and run errands.

Affirmation: I am constantly evolving and dedicated to becoming the best version of myself.

Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable
If you want something you have never had it’s time to do things that you’ve never done. Step out of the warmth of your comfort zone and dive head-first into discomfort. Great things only happen in discomfort. Growth happens in discomfort. You will always stretch and grow into new places and skills. Start small—try a new workout, take a class you’ve never considered, or ask for that promotion you’ve been eyeing. Uncomfortable? Perhaps. Life-changing? For sure!

Affirmation: I embrace growth, trusting that stepping out leads to amazing things.

Don’t Be Afraid to Be Extra
Never dim your sparkle for anyone! Figure out what it is that makes you, you, and share it with the world. I promise you that the frequency you put out in the world will bring just the right people around you. Whether rocking an oversized hat or launching your own business—be bold, be extra, and let your unique light shine.

Affirmation: I am unapologetically me, and I celebrate my uniqueness with pride.

Have a Dance Party (In Your Living Room)
Sometimes, a dance break is all you need! Blast your favourite song, pretend you’re at a club or Coachella, and dance like nobody’s watching. If you’re like me than you could do with having epic tunes blasting while you tackle boring tasks like cleaning or folding laundry. Accept that everything is better with music and your dance moves deserve the spotlight more.

Affirmation: I groove through life with joy and freedom.

Say Yes to Opportunities (Even the Weird Ones)
Some of the best experiences come from unexpected opportunities. That quirky networking event? Say yes! That spontaneous road trip? Yes, please! The universe is trying to bless you! If you’re dreaming of a new life full of bigger dreams, opportunities, and joy, you need to open to accepting them.

Affirmation: I am open to new opportunities, trusting the journey ahead.

Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Comparison steals your joy! Stop focusing on where other people are on their journeys and what they have. You will never know exactly what someone else has or did or what they had to do to accomplish it. You only have what they choose to show you and most times it’s fluff. Focus on your path which requires no rush and has you exactly where you need to be right now.

Affirmation: I trust my journey and celebrate my progress, no matter how small.

Get Comfortable with Saying “I Don’t Know” and Asking Questions
Nobody has all of the answers and there is probably somebody else around you who is too shy to ask the same question you have. Think of yourself as helping humanity every time you ask a question. You don’t need to have life figured out at any age. Just keep learning, growing, and adapting.

Affirmation: I am a lifelong learner, embracing uncertainty as part of my journey.

Be Your Own Biggest Cheerleader
Do you know what happens when you stop waiting for other people to notice how amazing you are and start being your own biggest cheerleader? The things you accomplish suddenly have no limit. The power of positive self-talk is life-changing.

Affirmation: I am proud of all my accomplishments and celebrate them joyfully.

Finally, I think we’re all at a point in life where we can’t continue to stay in the same place, doing the same things, having the same experiences. Not if we’re ready to reach for the stars. Not if we want things we’ve never had. Not if we’re honest with ourselves.

It’s time we speak our hopes and dreams into reality. Maybe that means we start by whispering them quietly only to ourselves until we’re brave enough to shout them out to anyone and everyone who will listen. It’s time we invest in ourselves because we’re worth it. 2025 is the year we thrive.
