Valco Baby Snap Duo Tailomade Review

Check out my new (to me) Valco Baby Snap Duo in Blue Denim. If you are anything like me you are as enamored as I was when it first popped up on my computer screen. Valco Baby is in the process of starting up their Canadian distribution so keep them in mind if you are looking for a great stroller.

Every time I take the stroller out of my car, people’s heads turn and the compliments start. The more I use it the more I love it.* It is my first side-by-side stroller and I am so happy with it I will be looking into the Valco Tri Mode Twin Special Edition once they arrive in CANADA

My Favourite Features

The Snap Duo comes in three colours: black and the two tailormade options, Grey Marle and Blue Denim. The tailormade strollers offer such beautiful material. I can’t get over the attention to detail, beautiful stitching, quality zippers & buttons and just the blue denim. Just the LOOK of this stroller screams excellence.snap duo

Although the Snap Duo is a side-by-side it can still fit through a standard doorway. At 29.5″ wide I am still getting excited when I fit through the door or when I can easily steer through two cars parked side-by-side. Only 3 inches wider than my in-line stroller it still gives both kids lots of space and comfort. Each side is fully independent of the other and I’m really crushing on the fact that my children who don’t usually nap in a stroller have both taken so easily to this new phenomenon…stroller napping.snap duo

The fold…oh the fold. I have a large SUV but with 4 kids and three still in carseats you can bet your bottom dollar space is an issue. On a normal day I usually have only one back seat in use so the stroller has plenty of space to just be. But last week we were visiting family at a park and a BBQ was in the works. We wanted to bring our charcoal grill but it took up most of our trunk space. Thankfully I remembered that the Snap Duo wheels are quick release and with them off I could easily fit it in the space between the back of the last row and the door…brilliant.snap duo

Also, the stroller folds in on itself protecting the fabric from the elements and any dirt that could happen while not in use. No more scuffs and the handy carrying handles make picking up and loading your stroller in the car as easy as 1-2-3. Not to mention the shoulder strap that makes carrying the under 24 lb stroller a breeze.snap duo

Did I mention the canopy yet. What may look like any average canopy has a handy zipper that extends it to provide MAXIMUM coverage from the sun and elements. Add the rain cover that comes with the stroller and you are ready to hit the road–rain or shine.

Honourable Mentions

The tilt-loc brake is fool-proof and is easy to use even if you are not used to this stroller. I also like the wrist strap that is like an extra precaution to keep the stroller near.snap duo

The rear-storage pockets for EACH seat are also a great asset. I was going to buy a console but have found that I can fit everything easily in them and roll them up when they are not in use to get some air flow to the babies.snap duo

The 5-point harness is like something I have never seen before and the first time I used them I couldn’t get my kids out. They are child (and husband) proof and will ensure your children don’t get out when you want them in.

A huge perk is the size of the basket. I can easily fit blankets and toys for all four of my kids in the basket and have found it a great bonus when we do some impromptu shopping and need a place to hide the goodies from my husband 😉snap duo

The Snap Duo is good from newborn to 44 lbs each seat and has a seat height of 19″ so perfect for those big babies like mine.

Valco Baby Canada

Valco Baby Canada is currently in the works but the American website is here if you would like to take a look at their whole line-up of strollers. You can also find them on Facebook and Instagram.

If you absolutely cant wait for the Canadian release Justyna from Stroller Seekers imports them for her clients all the time.

* I have had lots of strollers and have loved them all…but one. As my needs changed my strollers had to change and I think that is the case with most people as well.

This post is NOT sponsored by Valco Baby but it is important to me that you know about things I love, such as this stroller 🙂
