Quo Fall 2016 Collection: A Limited Edition Dream

I know that there is still some time before Fall officially launches but I think once Starbucks launches PSL season all is fair game. As the transition happens with back-to-school and sweaters needed to keep chilly there is also a glam difference that happens in makeup trends.

While summer makeup is fun and bright I find Fall palettes remind me of warmth and a more defined look. I got to try out the new limited-edition Fall 2016 collection from Quo and had a great time getting dolled up.

The older I get the more I can get behind a neutral eye look. Whether going out to dinner or a PTA meeting it easily transitions from day to night. The Quo Eye Shadow Palette in Neutral Ground ($18) comes with 10 colours which remind me a lot of the richness of Fall. Coppers, golds and burnished browns are tied together with beautiful nudes and lighter shades to highlight. I totally love the look of these on and they are full of pigment (yay!)

I am a victim of vicious over-plucking and am now on the rebound. I was seriously considering getting my eyebrows micro-bladed back on this Summer when low and behold they filled back up and got a good shape again. Thanks to my MIL (and a good tint job) I am now almost satisfied with the brows I got and for where I am lacking I really like the Quo Brow Palette Raise Your Brows ($12). The small palette has two different powder colours and a cream to keep everything in place. I like that I can control the amount of product I put on and its so small I can even keep it in my itty-bitty makeup case that I carry on the go.

On the list of hot commodity items in my home are makeup brushes. The girls like to play dress-up and never put back my stuff and the little guy likes to feed the dog what ever brushes he can find. I can assure you that this Quo Brush Set Brush Up! ($50) is staying in it’s cute case. For someone like me who has basic make-up application skills this 6 brush set is just right. Included are a powder brush, blush brush, foundation brush, liner brow brush, eye shadow brush and lip brush. A great little set and perfect gift as it is packaged beautifully.

I am a firm believer that both lips and eyes should not be dramatic so I think this Quo Matte Lipstick in Red Alert ($14) should be worn with the simplest eyes (think mascara and liner) and nothing else. A perfect red that has amazing staying power it is a tad dry for my likes because I prefer moist lips.
