PLAYMOBIL Dragon Racers Playsets

PLAYMOBIL has come out with four new playsets to add to their already great Dragons lineup. If your kids are anything like mine they love bringing their favourite characters from the big and small screen home and into their imaginative play with these PLAYMOBIL Dragon Racers playsets.

We got the opportunity to try out a couple of the sets (much to the kids’ delight) and we’re happy to report that if you’re looking for a great gift option for the Dragon loving kids in your life, these are it.

PLAYMOBIL has been around since 1974 so I think it is safe to say that most of us have played with or seen some of these classic miniature playsets. I love that even though my kids are growing up in a whole new generation from when I did our PLAYMOBIL toys are still very similar, albeit the newer ones have great themes.

The Dragons theme has been growing for years now and there are some really big playsets like BERK, along with the smaller sets. While each playset can be a great stand-alone toy you can grow and continue the story by purchasing more. There are four new sets in the Dragon racing theme and you can score sets with Snotlout and Hookfang, Gobber the Belch with Sheep Sling, Fishlegs and Meatlug, and brother-sister duo Ruffnut and Tuffnut and their dragon, Barf and Belch. 

DRAGONS SNOTLOUT & HOOKFANG

So my son has actually been sleeping with Hookfang since we first opened this set. Hookfang has wings that move and with the option of adding a riding saddle to him, you can fly Snotlout and Hookfang around while they take part in your child’s imaginative dragon races. 

Set includes Snotlout, Hookfang, riding saddle, crossbow with flaming arrows, Viking helmet, shield, bucket with fish, sheep, and other accessories.

DRAGONS GOBBER THE BELCH WITH SHEEP SLING

Every time I see Gobber the Belch I can actually hear his voice in my head. I think over the years Gobber has somehow found his way to my heart and parked himself squarly within it. This set comes with a sheep sling which propels sheep into the air for the viking/dragon teams to then snatch and drop into their marked baskets. We’ve already picked a favourite sheep over here.

Set includes Gobber, sheep catapult, marked baskets, two white sheep, one black sheep, and lots of other accessories.
