Decadent Bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles + My Love of Snacks

bulletproof360

Before I had kids, before I had hubby, before I had a mortgage…I had truffles. I lived so close to the Eaton’s Centre that I could walk over every day and buy myself a little gold box filled with delicious goodies. That daily splurge makes me shudder now–not only because of just how expensive it was but because it is probably the reason why I believe chocolate can be indulged in daily.

Those gold chocolate boxes to me were like what I imagine the tiffany blue bags are to women who like jewels or the LV are for women who like high-end bags. I will stick to my chocolate but when I crave truffles I no longer head to the mall, I head to my cupboards to make them myself.

Decadent Bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles

This recipe is so simple. Bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bars. Coconut Milk. Vanilla. Cocoa for dusting. The chocolate fuel bars are a rich 78% dark chocolate that are sugar-free and sweetened with non-GMO xylitol. They even have the Bulletproof XCT™ Oil which is full of quality fats. Think of these little bites of delight as the ultimate indulgence that take you from zero to decadence in seconds.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bars chopped finely (1 cup)
  • 3/4 Cups of full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • cocoa powder for dusting (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Take 2 of the Bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bars and chop finely. This equals to one cup. You can use other dark chocolate that is at least 60% but you won’t get the kick of the BP ones. Put into bowl.    bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles
  2. Shake the coconut milk well and heat the 3/4 cups in a saucepan just until it boils. You can also heat in the microwave until it is hot. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Pour over chopped chocolate and cover. Leave for 5 minutes. Wash dishes if you need tobulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles
  4. Take off cover and stir just until incorporated. If you still have chunks of chocolate you can microwave in 10 second increments until it is smooth.bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles
  5. Once it is all melted and mixed put it into the fridge to harden. 90 minutes should do it.bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles
  6. Use a spoon or a melon baller to scoop out the mixture and roll into balls. Place on parchment.bulletproof360 Chocolate Fuel Bar Truffles
  7. You can take the balls straight into whatever you want to coat them with if that is the route you are going. I chose to coat in cocoa powder.

The only thing left to do is enjoy. With these little truffles I can get my daily dose of chocolate without the guilt of eating the whole bar in one sitting.

Treats for the Masses

These will run out, no matter how you slice it, they will.  I need to get my sweet-tooth satisfied but I also want to make good choices–and I want choices. Bulletproof360 gives me choices and the convenience of having them in my purse while I am on the go. Truffles don’t travel well BTW so maybe save those for the bathroom floor when you are hiding from the family.

This month I have some of the Collagen Protein Bars to savour. Remember the reason you don’t like protein bars? That dry, chalky taste and the futile attempt to make chocolate taste like chocolate? Not happening here. That Fudge Brownie has stolen a piece of my heart and instead of raiding the kid’s school snacks I can reach for one of these without feeling guilty. The bars not only contain my beloved Brain Octane Oil but also pack a punch from the Bulletproof™ Collagen Protein from grass-fed cows and XCT® oil to keep me moving with steady energy. My husband loves the Lemon Cookie bars as he prefers his treats not so sweet but the Vanilla Shortbread is a perfect choice for people who like a more neutral taste.  Put them in your purse, in the car, stash them in your desk at work for the extra boost without ruining your healthy lifestyle.

It’s no lie that I love my morning Bulletproof Coffee but I have upgraded it. I now add two tablespoons of the Collagen Protein to my cup. It is odourless, tasteless, and dissolves easily. I know some people put it into their smoothies but I like my coffee with a kick. This is it. Collagen Protein is filled with amino acids glycine, lysine and proline which are the building blocks your body uses to make muscles, bones, and joints. Whether you are working out or not these are important tasks that your body takes on so it’s important to fuel it.

For the Love of Snacks

Snacks are a part of my life. As much as I make healthy food choices and eat raw veggies and tuna I also treat myself daily. Instead of grabbing a chocolate bar from beside the checkout at the grocery store I keep better choices close. My biggest issue was the kid’s school snacks. I could annihilate 4 or 5 in one sitting while vegging on the couch. This is like a full blown out meal and I was calling it a ‘snack’. No more. I am awesome and I need snacks that will fuel that awesome…you should probably get some too.

I’m glad I don’t live walking distance to buying truffles. What a temptation! Far better to have to make them as I wouldn’t indulge as often. These look delicious.
