CeraVe: A Conversation About Our Future Skin

cerave

If I could turn back time and take better care of my skin, I would do it in an instant. I wish I had put less focus on what I thought looked good in the moment and spent more time working on what looked good in the future, because aging gracefully is the best look for everyone.

I would have spent less time in my teen years slathering my body in oils and laying pool-side burning to a crisp.

I would have skipped the years that I visited the tanning salon three times a week to maintain that golden shade I coveted so much.

I would have followed my mother’s beauty regimen by cleaning off my makeup at night.

I would have not partied as hard and really got enough sleep.

I would have moisturized, moisturized and moisturized some more.

A beautiful tan may have been gorgeous but now I am on the look out for signs of odd-shaped moles and skin cancer. I can’t change what I have done in the past but I can change how I go forward.

Taking Care of my Future Skin

Skin routines change with the seasons. I take cues from my skin on what is needed right now. Currently it involves drinking more water and hydrating not only when I am awake but putting my products to work while I sleep. It’s not called beauty sleep for no reason, it is the time when your body rejuvenates itself, and I like to help it out when I can.

CeraVe has come out with new Skin Renewing products to help us put our best face forward. Like all CeraVe products, the NEW CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum and Night Cream contain 3 essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid to not only hydrate but replenish the vital lipids that our skin has naturally in its protective moisture barrier.

With its encapsulated retinol complex that is great for sensitive skin the CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum helps improve the look of fine likes and wrinkles.

Going to work while I sleep with two biomimetic peptides to help improve skin cell turnover and elasticity, the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream works with skin’s circadian rhythm when it is more receptive. CeraVe has not only been developed with ongoing consultations with dermatologists but also recommended by them.

To ensure these products are right for you, always read and follow the label.

If I could turn back time I would have protected my skin more from the sun’s rays.
We grew up near a lake and we were basically outside nearly everyday all day long.
I am sure the sun did it’s part in damaging my skin.

I am go glad I was careful as a child and young woman; my skin is not perfect, but I am happy that I don’t have age spots or wrinkles caused by sun. I do sometimes have issues with acne or redness, but that is mostly related to hormones and medication. This product looks interesting, I will have to investigate it further.
