It’s still Spring Cleaning time in my house as I have some things to do before the kids are done school today for summer vacation. I don’t have a lot of time but what little time I do have will get great results.

With all of the nice weather my kids have been spending more time outside (as has our dog) and it shows in our home.

Thanks to Arm & Hammer and OxiClean we have some quick cleaning solutions to take us back to the original sparkle tidiness of our home.

Cleaning With Arm & Hammer and OxiClean

Who has time to do dishes all of the time? Not me! I have been getting into the groove of using my dishwasher doing one load midday and another right before I go to bed. Using OxiClean Extreme Power Crystals Dishwasher Paks makes sure my dishes (and dishwasher) get cleaned the first time. My kids love that they can easily grab a clean cup and get there glass of water or milk and I love that I no longer have a daunting sink full of dishes.

I don’t always have times to clean my fridge and although we do our best there is always that random piece of fruit that has gone bad or bag of spinach that has turned into a slimy goo. I use Arm & Hammer Fridge-N-Freezer to lock in any smells and keep my fridge smelling as fresh as when I first got it.Church & Dwight

You know what is worse than the smell of dog in your furniture? The smell of wet dog! Rain or shine, nature still calls our fur-ball out to do her business and I am afraid our couch and rug take the job of being her towel. To combat odours caused by our wet dog I shake on Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean Meadow Fresh Carpet Odor Eliminator on our cloth couches and rugs for 15 minutes and just do a quick vacuum. Although I would love to tell you my washroom is clean all of the time that is never the case. Last week my toddler gave herself a good cleaning with the shampoo in the new bottle I just bought and my older kids have been spending hours outside getting dirty. When it is bath time the water is an unpleasant shade of gray with a speckling of sand littering the bottom of the tub. Using Scrub Free Bleach Mildew Remover I just spray it on and come back in a few minutes to get my tub and sink back to their former glory. The clean may not last forever but it sure is nice when it happens.Church & Dwight

Having 4 kids’ means I do my fair share of laundry. Clothes need to last for more than one kid and I rely on a combination of OxiClean Laundry Detergent and OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover to keep my whites white and colours bright. Grass and food stains have no chance when I use these two together and our clothes look just as good today as when we first got them.

And my secret cleaning agent is Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. I use this to clean tough grime all of the time. My favourite use for it though is my oven. I make a paste out of the soda with a little bit of water and some dish soap and apply liberally to all of the burnt on pieces in the oven. An hour later the grime just wipes off and I go on with my day. No need to spend hours cleaning when you can just leave it and forget about it while you go about your day.

Any time I have my house looking (and smelling amazing) is cause for celebration. We are implementing an “open doors” policy this summer. My kids can have their friends over and so I need to stay on top of keeping the house work done, quickly and effectively. Arm & Hammer and OxiClean are going to help me make my cleaning plans a reality. Do you have any cleaning tricks or shortcuts?

I’m going to start using Baking Soda more! I usually waste my time scrubbing.

My tip is to not get things dirty in the first place. Minimal cooking helps with that 😉

    Besos Sarah.

Baking soda is a great cleaner. I use it whenever I need to scrub something that requires a gentle scrubber.
