Tackle Winter Break Boredom with Trollhunters on Netflix

Today is the day ladies and gents, the last day of school before winter break and I bet it’s no coincidence that Trollhunters is making its debut on Netflix today.

Is it any surprise though that Netflix has our back once again? I feel like every time that things start getting hectic Netflix releases some amazing shows that will not only keep our kids occupied but also give us something to watch happily as a family. The kids have been making concessions lately while I try to get my fill of mandatory Christmas movies like ‘Elf’ and ‘Love Actually’. These kids may not be as awesome as I originally thought they were because they do not share the enthusiasm I have for ‘Elf’ and keep giving me the side eye.

Starting today right after dinner we are going to veg on the couch and enjoy 26 episodes of Trollhunters. Will we watch all 13 hours in one day? I hope not because winter break is 2 weeks and I need the littles to give me some alone time to do the big de-clutter before 2017 hits. I also need them to stay occupied while I thin out their possessions because everyone knows nothing can actually be thrown out or donated if the kids are around to see it. Every toy destined to leave has now become their favourite and I am forced to sneak out garbage bags in the middle of the night like someone committing a crime.

Out of DreamWorks Animation studio, Trollhunters is about a magical world where humans and troll live together. An unlikely hero is made out of an ordinary teen tasked with the job of saving both the humans and trolls. Not only does it promise to keep the kids entertained but the adults as well. With amazing conversation starters at every turn you are sure to stop the obligatory “I’m Bored” right in its tracks.

Also, new this month is the capability to download some of your Netflix favourites right on your device. For more information on how to do it head on over to One Smiley Monkey’s Blog.

What are you waiting for? It’s streaming on Netflix as you read!

We are so excited to watch! In fact, The kids are so excited that I am getting them to complete some chores before I let us tuck in to watch it together! A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do – amiright?
