GoodTo Go Bars: 3 Reasons Why My Health Journey is Working This Time

3 Reasons Why My Health Journey is Working This Time | GoodTo Go Bars

This post is in partnership with GOODTO Go bars and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I never dieted. I never stuck to a workout routine for more than a few days. I got unhealthy (duh). Then the time came when all of my kids went to school and I needed to focus on myself. To finally get healthy, both mentally and physically. Sharing 3 reasons why my health journey is working this time.

3 Reasons Why My Health Journey is Working This Time

The Gym: I started off at a free community gym and spent 3 months just easing myself in. I asked my husband to show me how to use the machines, I searched for workouts on the internet, I kept at it and even though the going is slow it is going. I am getting so much stronger and even things I couldn’t do before are becoming easier now. Plus it is giving me something to look forward to and makes my emotional and mental health so much better.

My Support Group: I have somehow been able to get into a group of likeminded ladies who are supporting AF. They are all on a journey of “progress over perfection” and I love having somewhere to be accountable to. They offer so much knowledge and hidden tips that I find so helpful. In this digital age we have access to so much information but having a group setting where the knowledge is shared is a key to success for me.

My Food: Something funny happens when you start going to the gym and have people around you that want to see you succeed, you start looking at more ways to succeed. For me, it was about really looking into what I was fueling my body with and cutting down on what made me feel not so good. Notice how I never said I cut out anything? That is because I refuse to.

So I added in more healthy, whole foods and tried to cut down on the artificial sugars and carbs, both of which give me a really great instant high followed by a crazy crash with horrible moods and no energy. But I still wanted delicious goodies and that is where these little substitutions like GOODTO Go bars step in. They are letting me totally get my fix, without sacrificing all the hard work I put in at the gym.

Making all of these changes slowly and patiently have made the lifestyle change I so desperately needed really easy. The weight may be coming off slowly but I can see my body muscle percentage growing and that is what I want the most, a strong healthy body.

GOODTO GO Bars

GoodTo Go bars have just come out with 4 new flavours that are worth celebrating. New flavours include delicious Strawberry Macadamia Nut, Chocolate Mint, Blueberry Cashew, and my favourite Double Chocolate. You can still get the existing lineup of Cocoa Coconut, Vanilla Almond, Raspberry Lemon, and Cinnamon Pecan.

So these soft-baked bars are Keto-friendly, vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free, kosher and Non-GMO Project Verified. Real, organic ingredients fill each bar with 13 grams of plant-based fats and 3 grams of net carbs per bar. 160 calories and a hint of sugar make it the perfect sweet treat when you need it.

Plus they are available everywhere. Check amazon.ca, online at www.good2gosnacks.ca, and in over 100 retailers across Canada including IGA, No Frills, Loblaws, Noah’s Natural Foods, and Shoppers Drug Mart.

Good for you with not cutting things out, but aiming for a good balance. Comedian Tom Papa has some good things to say about bread.
The Chocolate Mint bar sounds the best to me.
