Boss To Go Plus: A Great Compact Blender for the Family

boss to go

As my husband and I are getting older we have started to focus on our health a little more. Where I struggle to lose weight my husband struggles to gain weight. He is the epitome of a healthy guy and has to do one workout to bring his 7-pack (I know weird there is only 7) to its full glory.

No matter how naturally fit he is he still needs to be healthy on the inside and we have come to the realisation that our health depends greatly on what we put into it. This Father’s Day I got some help from Breville Canada for a gift that keeps on giving long after this weekend.

Breville Boss To Go Plus

This week we got the Breville Boss To Go™ Plus (ARV $300) delivered to our door. Although hubby was not initially impressed with a mini blender I knew I could sway him easily. We headed off to the grocery to pick up some goodies that we would not eat regularly but are oh-so-good for you–like kale.

[ctt title=”Juicing level genius: When your husband sees all the greens and still asks for more via @homewithaneta” tweet=”Juicing level genius: When your husband sees all the greens and still asks for more via @homewithaneta” coverup=”sTGjc”]

I knew I had to start him off with something that was going to tantalize his taste buds and help him feel great. Food is the original medicine so if I could convince him of the insane amount of delicious goodies in his shake that only took a few minutes to prepare I knew he would be using it daily.

The Boss To Go™ really pulverizes ingrediants, breaking through the tough cellular walls of fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts and leafy greans. The combination of the powerful motor and blade system produces spectacularly fine particles, giving you the chance to creaty smootheis that are truly super-smooth.

Once opened the box boasted some pretty impressive goodies. Included in the system was:

  • Die-Cast Metal Base that boasts an impressive 1000w of high-velocity power
  • Mill & Grind stainless steel grinding container perfect for nuts and seeds
  • 1 Mega 23 oz. Tritan Tumbler
  • 2 x 15 oz. Insulated Tritan Sports Cups
  • 4 x Portable Lids
  • Nurture via Nature Bookletboss to go

I know what some of you are thinking. That you can find this same system from a competitor for less. I have a couple of the competitors systems and they are not the same. Not in the slightest.

boss to go

I made this beautiful almond butter with a tablespoon of coconut oil fresh in 15 seconds. That has everything to do with the 1000w power and the Kinetix® Blade and Bowl System. Using a unique of intense folding action and serrated central blades you can ensure what you are blending will be lump-free and cool.

This system works fast and because it does so your smoothies will not start to cook from the heat of the blades spinning. I may love that feature in my full-size blender but nobody got time for that when you want to have a green smoothie.

I really like how there’s enough lids to cover all of the cups and I leave them on the cups when not in use because I then don’t have to search for them. Also, the loop on the lid makes for and awesome handle.

In the morning, I got to making our first green smoothie. I counted four glorious cups of fruit and veg to my mega tumbler although I had to do it in two stages. Because of all of the goodies I had to break down some of the greens and then add more of the harder items like the apples near the end. What I got though was a divine juice of the Gods. My husband was, of course, skeptical because it was A. Green and 2. He saw me put kale into it

After taking a sip he was hooked and asked me to make it for him every morning. Who am I to say no?

The best smoothies are made with kale, spinach or small cukes, any frozen fruits (in place of ice) protein powder, almond/cashew milk or coconut water, hemp or chia seeds, touch of ginger or tumeric. DELISH & good for you.. Or add peanut butter, or banana (extra ripe frozen. Possibilities are endless. Enjoy

This is what I make for my kids and they LOVE it!! I tend to eyeball the quality.

    Green apple, skin on.
Avocado – I find it helps the texture.
Baby Kale – this is key. The regular kale doesn’t break down as easily but I have a kitchen aid. Might work better with the Breville.
    Lemon juice
    Ginger
1 clove of garlic (really good for immune system)
    Honey to taste
Banana – I don’t like the taste of banana but the kids will get upset if they see that I haven’t put any in.
Cocnut water to help thin it out. If I don’t have coconut water then I use apple juice.

  81. Tim P

I had no idea that Breville even made a blender like this. I’ve always wanted to get a Breville, this looks great.

I’m not responding to the giveaway as it is long gone past, besides, the smoothie I like is just pineapple, mango and orange juice… not the healthy kind you were looking for, lol. I was glad to see this though as I’m now on my second bullet – the next mini will be one of substance. This sounds like the winner. Thank you!
