3 Reasons Why You Should Not Get On The Dirty Home Trend

We’re sure that you have all seen it on TikTok or something similar by now. We’re not going to say that it’s encouraging people to have a dirty home, and the influencers that do this say that they are trying to represent those who do not clean everyday. Well, there’s a difference between not cleaning everyday and what looks like not cleaning for weeks at a time. A lot of people now think that it’s okay to leave their home looking like a pit, and it’s not. In this article, we’re going to be looking at some of the reasons why you should not jump on this trend, so keep reading if you would like to find out more.

Bugs And Pests

The first reason that we’re going to look at is bugs. If you do not clean your home regularly, then you are opening yourself up to certain types of bugs. Try to keep in mind that a lot of them feed on things like crumbs, leftover bits of food that you have left out, juices from your bin if you are not taking it out regularly and things like this. You can get fruit flies in your sink drain for example if you are not clearing food out properly and so much more.

It’s not only bugs that you can attract either, it’s other little pests like rats and mice. You can try things like rat snap traps, but you might end up needing to call a professional anyway to be on the safe side. Don’t give these pests any more reason to choose your home, keep it nice.

Repairs

Another thing that you’re going to find is that if you’re not taking care of your home and if you’re letting it get super dirty before you do anything, then you’re going to figure out quite quickly that you’re more susceptible to repairs if this happens. How are you supposed to see and make repairs if you don’t know they are there because you have such a dirty home?

Don’t get us wrong, we’re not shaming people who have a dirty home for a legitimate reason such as health, but it’s a genuine concern. You need to make repairs as they crop up, but how are you going to know if you can’t even see it?

Health

Your overall health will suffer with the state of your home, both physically and mentally. To be completely honest both are important, but the moment that the state of your home starts making people sick, starts causing problems with physical health you know there is a real issue. You don’t want to let it get to this point, so don’t.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now have a stronger understanding of why you should not get on board the dirty home trend. It’s okay not to clean everyday, and it’s okay if your home gets a bit dirty/messy, but there are limits to what is okay. You can’t live that way, it’s not safe, and it’s not healthy.
