10 Reasons Why You Should Not Be Using Netflix

netflix

There are so many reasons why you should NOT be watching Netflix. In 2016, Netflix spent 852.1M on research and development. So it’s a pretty big company…

You like to pay out of your a$$ for on-demand shows, movies, and documentaries. Netflix costs as low as $7.99 a month and for the best package available you will pay $11.99 for four screens and Ultra HD.  Check out the plans here.

You don’t like the freedom of upgrading or downgrading at any time. Netflix lets you do it from the comfort of home without the need to talk to someone.

You don’t like to try before you buy. Did you know Netflix gives you a free month to get a feel for it and see how it works. I think this is unofficially called the courting period.

You don’t like to watch commercial-free TV. I get it. Some of us like to spend 10 minutes of a half-hour show looking at commercials. I can’t watch cable anymore because the interruptions cause me to get a bit ‘stabby’.

netflix

You don’t want to know exactly what the kids are watching. Some of us just don’t give a F*** about what the kids are watching, I won’t judge. But if that is something that sounds of use to you, you can get a whole list of them under your account and “viewing activity.”

netflix

You don’t want to know if your partner watched ahead. There is nothing better than watching a show with your partner, am I right? The commitment, the quality time, and even the convo’s that stem from a good show is #1, unless you have a sneaking suspicion that they ‘Netflix Cheated’ on you. Now you can have concrete proof. See above about the ‘viewing activity’

You really don’t like having access to ‘exclusive content’. Netflix is slowly taking over the world. That may be an exaggeration but their Netflix Originals are a hot commodity. Only found on Netflix you really don’t want to miss out on the talk around the water cooler, do you?

You don’t want to watch International content. I mean back in the day we used to mount a huge satellite on the house and point it east in the hopes of catching the signal from Eastern Europe. You don’t have to do that anymore. Shocker I know.

You don’t want help teaching your kids about important topics. Being a parent can be hard. Like really hide in the washroom and eat the kids Easter chocolate hard. Netflix has you covered when it comes to having those difficult conversations with your kids–they even made a cheatsheet.

You don’t want to rate shows you have watched so that Netflix can recommend more of what you like. It’s called Spring Cleaning and even Netflix needs it done. Notice how Riverdale has a Thumbs Up? It’s way up!!

netflix

You don’t want to have separate accounts from the kids. Maybe you like to see all of the kids shows in your Netflix faves? Maybe not? You can give each kid their own profile so that you no longer have to see the Paw Patrol right beside Suits. It’s a totally viable option.

Do you have anything to add to the list?
