Imagine this: a random text message sets off a chain of events that leads to finding true love. In this hilarious romantic comedy, Mira Ray, who is still recovering from the heartbreak of losing her fiancé, starts sending a series of heartfelt texts to his old cell phone number. Little does she know, the number has been reassigned to none other than Rob Burns, a journalist with a new work phone. Rob is instantly captivated by the raw honesty and vulnerability in Mira’s messages.

As fate would have it, Rob is assigned to write a profile on none other than the legendary Celine Dion, who graciously agrees to help him devise a plan to meet Mira in person and ultimately win her heart. It is what rom-com dreams are made of and the perfect movie to watch snuggled up in bed.

Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion, this movie appeals to so many different fanbases. Seeing Celine Dion in her first movie, playing her hilarious self, was such a delight and I loved seeing Sam Heughan as something other than Jamie Fraser from Outlander. Priyanka has shown that she can transcend many different genres and did such a great job playing Mira in Love Again.

And if you’re on the fence about why you should indulge in rom-coms over say action or fantasy movies, let me tell you. Romantic comedies offer universal themes that can be understood by people all over the world. There is chemistry and a spark, and we all want to experience those feel-good vibes for ourselves. These movies let us escape and hope for inspiration for real life, begging we all get that meet-cute in real life
