Budget Friendly School Shopping From Pass It On

pass it on

Who else is looking at their back-to-school budget wondering how it will all get done?  Our kids not only need uniforms they also need regular clothes to get them through the fall and I am over here scratching my head on how it will all get done. This is where we needed some help because we either didn’t get enough clothes or we went over budget. Not this year, this year we got some help that even made it possible for mom to get some goodies. Check out this budget friendly school shopping from Pass It On.

Perks of Being a Savvy Shopper at Pass It On Consignment

Pass It On Consignment is a midtown Toronto store that works on a wonderful premise. The collect high-quality clothes from community members (consignors) and sell them at a fraction of the price, splitting the profit with the consignors.  When you buy from this local business you are not only supporting the two moms who own the store (and their families) but also the consignor who will be getting money as well. Plus you will get a great outfit within budget. Win-Win-Win!  pass it on consignment

  1. Buying used lets us cut down on the trash landing in our garbage dumps. It so so eco-friendly and when we consider the fact that our children will inherit the earth from us we want to do our part.pass it on
  2. You will save money. The sticker price can sometimes be intimidating at a store but not at Pass It On. pass it on
  3. Many different styles and sizes (they offer up to 3x for us bigger ladies) are offered at Pass It On. You can not only dress yourself but also the kids on one trip.pass it on
  4. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They can put together an outfit from top to bottom in a matter of minutes. You will get the attention you deserve.

Our Visit

We went to Pass It On with the idea to get the girls some clothes. Christella quickly pulled clothes for the girls that they both fell in love with and were excited to get into. As a surprise they got their (light) makeup done for a mini photo shoot. Bigger surprise though was the fact that mom (me) got to join in on the fun because back-to-school shouldn’t always be just about the kids.  It is the little things that make the biggest differences and this little shoot gave us girls a chance to have fun and connect and forget about the bustle of summer vacation. This is they type of attention you can expect from the gals at Pass It On Consignment and the girl’s outfits cost a fraction of what they would if bought new. “A’s” dress cost under $20 and Emma’s whole outfit costs around $75 (from  the original $160) which meant this momma could use the extra to get a shirt, purse and pair of shoes. Being budget friendly let us dress all of us for what we usually would have spent on one child. Can’t make it into the store? No problem as the website is updated often with their new goods and they offer delivery to both Canada and USA. They are also really great at posting on Facebook and Instagram so follow along.

Its better to always make a list of the things you want to buy before you go for shopping. It will help to save more.
