Banana Boat: Essentials for Enjoying the Outdoors

Banana Boat SunComfort

I am horrible in remembering to put on sunscreen but thankfully I have some pretty smart kids who remind me every time I forget. Although I think its annoying at times to have my little people always point out where I am failing I am glad they have the common sense to do it, even if I forget.

Now that the warm weather is here we spend our days travelling from parks to beaches to attractions I need to bring my A-game.

Banana Boat® SunComfort™

The kids and I got to try out a new product from Banana Boat this past week. Trying to get four kids slathered in sunscreen while all they want to do is go and play is a hassle, probably one of the reasons it’s not one of my favourite things to do.

Coming in both regular and travel (kid) sizes the SunComfort™ line provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection but it is so light. It was absorbed almost immediately into my kid’s skin and was not sticky at all.

Do you know what that means?

That my kids go to go play right away and were not caked with sand when we emerged from the sand pit to go home. Also saved a lot of tears as I was not forcing them to strip down to their undies at our door not to drag in the park with us.

Something else to keep in mind is that these are great for everyday use as they are moisturizing and water resistant for 80 minutes. Makes getting your kids protected from the sun not such a chore and my older ones have each claimed one bottle for themselves.

Banana Boat® SunComfort™

Available for purchase at most  major retailers, make sure to check out the line if you, like me, want to keep the sand at the beach, without sacrificing your kid’s health.

Do you put on sunscreen everyday? How bout them kids?

I am guilty for not putting sunscreen on myself (trying to get into the habit of doing so) but I ALWAYS make sure to put sunscreen on my girls and bring it with us where ever we go in case we need to reapply. very important especially because they are kids and they have very fair skin. it doesn’t take much for them to burn

Thank you Kathy, The smell of Banana Boat is something that just reminds me of Summer. Lazy days around the pool and water fights in the yard..

My daily moisturizer thankfully has some SPF in it otherwise I tend to forget. They kids are olive skinned and don’t ever burn but are so good at remembering to put it on.
