Are you looking for the perfect printer? We just upgraded our older printer for the EcoTank® ET-3710 All-in-One Cartridge-Free Supertank Printer and there are so many great features I can’t wait to share with you.

This ET-3710 is a printer, scanner, and copier in one and it will consistently perform well from the moment you take it out of the box. It is me approved. Big check mark.

Epson EcoTank ET-3710 Review

You may remember that I reviewed another EcoTank printer, the ET-2550, two years ago. Up until a few weeks ago, we have been using that printer and even after more than two years, we have not had to refill the ink that came with the unit initially. TheEcoTank® ET-3710 gives the same two-year estimate straight out of the box and that makes me excited.

The whole unit is more compact than my previous one with and set-up was a breeze. I wasn’t paying attention when I was filling the unit with ink and tried to put the magenta ink into the cyan container. Thanks to the specially shaped ink bottles it wouldn’t allow me to do the wrong colour.

No more running out of ink mid-print because each full printer replaces approximately 8 ink cartridges. In our family, we print school work, business documents, printables, colouring pages, and everything in between. Our printer is always going so I love that the EcoTank® ET-3710 makes it so easy to see if I need to grab some refill ink thanks to the clear window on the ink tanks.

Another improvement on the new model is the paper cassette that can hold 150 sheets and is tucked under the paper tray where printed documents come out. It streamlines the look of the unit and my paper is safe from dirt, dust, and the kids. It can print 2-sided which is very convenient if you are trying to not use crazy amounts of paper or have a 20-page paper to print. It does the job of doing big print jobs with consistent results.

ET-3710 Voice Activated Printing is a HUGE Help

Probably one of my favourite new features on the ET-3710 is the voice-activated print option. Yup I can tell my Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant to do things like print out my to-do list, a blank calendar, and shopping list so that when I get a second I can grab everything and plan out my week.

Also available to print at this time is

  • design paper
  • photo props
  • scrapbooking kit
  • ruled paper
  • graph paper
  • music paper

You can even ask say “print this recipe” from allrecipes.com and have this pumpkin cream cheese muffins recipe effortlessly come out on the print tray.

I like that Epson gives each of my printers an email address and I can send items I want to be printed to the email address and they are available at home when I get there. I am imagining the possibilities for days when I am not home and the kids need a permission form signed or we forget the leave instructions for the baby sitter. I can easily make them up and email them to the home printer.

Consistent Volume Printer

Long story short, the Epson EcoTank ET-3710 is the printer you need if you want consistent results for a long time with little to no maintenance. It’s a set it and forget it machine that fits seamlessly into our space thanks to its sleek design.

I would love to own this printer, but I need one that has a fax, but I’m sure they have those ones as well!

You are totally right that they do have another one with fax, the WorkForce ET-4750. I deal predominantly with email so this works just right for us

I have that one in Black… I love it! The only problem I’m having is it isn’t true colours after a few months, (sometimes the lighter black/grey is coming out light purple even though it is full) I think I have to have the printhead professionally since doing it through the programs isn’t working. Lesson learned: print periodically just to keep them working.

This sounds like an amazing printer, I only have black & white at the moment so this would be very welcome in my household 🙂 Wow, a voice-activated print option, marvellous and not to mention the 2 yrs of ink, incredible.

I absolutely love the feature of this printer. Not having to replace the ink for such a a long time is REALLY appealing. I want to get this one when I need a new one.

Is the Duplex printing automatic or do you have to print each side separately.
