Raise A Reader Twitter Party Nov 9 @ 8 PM

Report card season is upon us and there is one thing I will not be surprised about is the reading section.

I was always really anxious about report cards as a child, my mom used to pay us for every A that was on the paper and the older I got the harder it got to maintain those good grades.

We have opted for a more laid-back approach with our kids without losing sight of the precious A grade. We stay on top of their progress, regularly communicate with their teachers so that we can stay on top of issues, and keep on working towards progress, not perfection.

A part of that is sending them to OOKA Island for reading help three times a week. With their love of tech it is the perfect way to hide education in a game, and they don’t want to leave. If you want to read some more about our successes with OOKA Island you can do so here but I can think of something even better to inform you about OOKA.

Raise a Reader Twitter Party With OOKA Island

This Wednesday, Join OOKA Island for a fun-filled hour at their #OOKAReads Twitter Party.   They will be chatting about and giving tips on how to raise a reader and of course–report cards.

If you have a child that is learning to read or having some issues progressing–maybe they are hesitant to even try–this is the party for you. And what is a party without prizes? Up for grabs are OOKA Island books, subscriptions and an iPad Mini. Who will I be seeing there?
