For the Love of Disney…Now on Netflix

When I first came to Canada I was blessed with a friend who was three years my senior and somehow put up with a five-year-old who spoke no English. Her name was Jessica and she introduced me to a handful of bad things but she also introduced me to something magical–Disney.

It was at the end of 1991 when she took me to see my first film at the theatres–Beauty and the Beast. I was hooked something fierce and I can still sing along to all of the songs much to the dismay and dirty looks from my kids.

It is only natural that my love for Disney films has continued on through the years and that I share that love with my family. I will always agree to finish the movie even if we are long past bedtime.

Disney on Netflix

As we have no cable and rely very heavily on the absolutely wonderful and commercial-free Netflix I was over the moon when I found out that Disney was coming to Netflix. It gave me a chance to re-connect with the simple viewing pleasure with the kids and we have decided that these are our favourites…so far.

The Princess and the Frog is all about the Bayou and a special kind of magic. Tiana is loved in our home.

A funny revival of the classic Rapunzel story, Tangled is sure to please the pickiest of viewers.

For the boys in our family, Planes Fire & Rescue are where it is at. I love this whole series and although the girls fuss I know they secretly like watching.

The graphics in Maleficent are so so good and if only you would watch this sleeping beauty revival for them I would say “do it”. But the story is good as well so watch for that as well.

we LOVE netflix. Of course Disney movies too …
I wish they’d release some of the older ones like Lion King and Aladdin because I’d love to show them to my kids but you can’t even rent them anywhere!

I think it’s great to have so many great Disney movies in one spot. I can get my Disney fix whenever I want
