10 Things About Me

me

me

I have been blogging for a year and a half and it’s time to open up a bit. I feel like I am learning about you through our interactions and I should give some back ground about myself.

10 Things About Me

  1. I am a high school dropout. Dropped out and went back many times but just couldn’t do it. No drive and money was much more appealing at that time. THIS is the main reason why my grammar sucks-No Education
  2. I graduated college with Honours. After having Darius & Emma I knew that I needed to get an education and did so with 2 toddlers in the house. A Medical Office Administration diploma taught me 2 things: I am not a believer of chemical meds for most of life’s ailments & I can do anything I put my mind to (except use they’re properly).
    me

A LOT of hard work went into this

  3. I believe in KARMA. Maybe it is because I hate confrontation but I find that most people who do bad get what they deserve, myself included. I had a rough second half of 2014 and am trying to turn things around currently. Loss makes you take things in perspective. So I try not to hurt others and my life is improving (thankfully).
  4. I believe in God BUT I don’t follow a set religion. I know that I would never have been able to live my life and been through what I have without God watching my back. My children celebrate both Catholic and Muslim holidays and when they are old enough to choose their own belief system I will support them.
  5. I spent 5 (long) years screwing up (see #1). Looking back now I am pretty amazed that I am still alive and it wasn’t until I started dating my husband that I got my life together. He loves me for all my imperfections and with his support I am able to be proud of what I have accomplished in life.
  6. I met my husband at the beginning of said screw up. I was 17 and he was 22. I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on him that I would spend my life with him. I never hid my love for him during this time and I am pretty sure I believed this so much it came true. Five years of friendship is a good precursor to a relationship. That time let us be honest with each other and above all it gave us a good foundation to build our lives together on.
    Me

    This guy though…

  7. I want my kids to make mistakes. I let them fall because it is important for them to learn to get up and keep going. I am hoping that by teaching them this they will not let life’s disappointments stop them.
  8. I am a disorganized person no matter how many calendars I buy. I try to make lists, use schedulers, write notes but at the end of it all I just can’t seem to be consistent. I am so jealous of people who have to-do lists, I can’t seem to make a list without writing “make tomorrow’s to-do list” on it.
    me

I would even settle for this daily…

  9. I am an optimist. I don’t like to worry and always try to see the positive in a situation. I will not allow negativity in my space and when it arrives I try not to wallow in it for long. I forgive and try to forget.
  10. I always get what I want. It doesn’t always get handed to me and I usually have to work for it but if I want/need it, I get it. This is the power of the subconscious mind and I am a believer. This really deserves its own post where I could tell you ALL of the things I believed into reality but my husband is proof enough.

I have struggled in life and it has made me appreciate life’s successes that much more. I am at a point in life where I am happy with my choices. I am in a constant state of improvement and I am okay with it.

All of your experiences have made you the great person that you are today. I’m sure that the people who know you best wouldn’t change you for the world.

As for me, I always try and be patient and think before I speak. I’m a work in progress 😉
