Beauty Regimen and Summer Makeup Essentials

When it comes to summer skin I like to think less is more. I focus a lot on prevention and when I do wear makeup the products are ones I have been using (and loving) for years. My beauty regimen is very simple yet effective!

Beauty Regimen Essentials

Getting into the habit of a good beauty regimen is one that will thank you with great skin. Every season my skin changes and I need to change up my beauty routine to deal with it. Current status is combination skin and it’s not pleasant.

I may have to spend a few extra minutes a day on a beauty regimen to keep blemishes at bay but it is completely worth it when I have blemish-free skin. Just because I am spending the extra time getting my skin clean doesn’t mean it’s difficult. These wipes from Garnier sit on my bathroom counter and I do a quick swipe before I go to sleep. I always follow with a toner and the serum to close pores and do a moisture bomb. As needed I do a mask to remove black/white heads and as an avid picker the comodone extractor tool is my best friend, like I can’t imagine life without it now that I have it.

Summer Makeup Essentials

I have a slew of products that I have been using for years. They are tried, tested and keep performing well even as I age, even as my skin changes, and as my needs change. Some like the Lip Smackers are straight up things I’ve used for more than half my life and they remind me of simpler times.

When I was in my early 20’s I would go to Florida and see all of the girls with beatiful skin but they looked like they had no makeup on. They trick? Great list. I have been using Lancome definicils for years and love that mascara, but it’s pricey. I will have to try the L’Oreal Voluminous Original Mascara, Carbon Black

Great list! My must have is Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer. I have trouble finding face cream that doesn’t break me out but that one works great for me.

Very interesting post but i can tell your skin looks great.My problem is dark/age spots. I always have Garnier wipes on hand,their great !

Cleansing Wipes are part of my essential year-round beauty regime; I think they are the best thing ever invented, amazing for your face and convenient! I use very little make-up in the summer, but sunscreen is an essential too.

I don’t need many skin care essentials, which I consider to be lucky. I need a nice smelling soap and water mainly, with occasionally a dash of moisturiser. 🙂

We just started using the Garnier wipes… we love them! My daughter never closes them so I have to run around behind her and seal them in a ziplock everyday but I’ve discovered that even the dried out ones work by just misting it with a water bottle.
